CHALLENGE
With California wineries often dominating the conversation, Double Forte was challenged with introducing and building consumer awareness of a previously unknown family winery from Washington, Goose Ridge Estate Vineyards & Winery.
APPROACH
Double Forte executed an integrated media strategy that build awareness across three key audiences for the Monson Family and their portfolio of brands at Goose Ridge Estate Winery.
Wine Trade Media: Double Forte developed a scoring publication submission strategy and review tracking document. Additionally, developed a steady flow of relevant news to share with wine trade media keeping them updated on Goose Ridge Winery. Furthermore, the team connected the Monson Family and winemaking team with key industry contacts building important trade relationships.
Consumer Lifestyle: Double Forte introduced consumer lifestyle media to the portfolio of Goose Ridge wines and the Monson Family through timely lifestyle pitches and targeted media samples.
Social Media: Double Forte launched an unpaid influencer program that shared quarterly wine samples from Goose Ridge. This program created a group of enthusiastic brand fans on social media, who regularly posted about the wines.
RESULTS
After two years of leveraging this three-pronged approach yielded over 2.85 million social media impressions from unpaid influencers, over 907 million media impressions via outlets such as Forbes, Good Housekeeping, Wine Enthusiast and others. Wine reviews and competition submissions for the brand doubled with average scores received higher than prior years.
